WELCOME to our web site!

In September 2007, James V. Snyder lost his life after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Shortly before he died, it was his desire to walk in “Light the Night” which benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. His desire was short-lived as he died just weeks before the event. He will forever be remembered by his friends and family for his willingness to serve others in his community and beyond. For over a decade, James Snyder worked closely with the Westmoreland County Food Bank supporting the organization that feeds those in need. He not only served those here in the U.S., but also spent time serving the poor and needy globally as well. He would have been so proud of his son founding the 501c organization Mission to El Salvador, which is a non-profit organization founded in 2009 for the purpose of connecting individuals, businesses, churches, and other organizations in the United States with those most in need in the country of El Salvador.

The James V. Snyder Memorial Fund was initiated to raise funds for three of the organizations that he saw as critical to the global community. This year, the proceeds of the James V. Snyder Memorial “Resolution Run” will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, The Westmoreland County Food Bank, and Mission to El Salvador.
